These simple little dessert pots smell like Angel Delight (If you’re from the UK you’ll know what I’m taking about) and have the texture of a creamy raspberry flavoured mousse or a soft panna cotta.
They’re made with vegan jelly powder and are such a an easy dessert that tastes so fruity and delicious.

💭 Is jelly suitable for vegans?
Unless it’s marked as vegan, jelly is not suitable for vegetarians or vegans as it contains gelatin.
Gelatin is a collagen found in animal bones and skin and often added to products when it really isn’t essential, as there are plant-based alternatives.
There are few jellies that are suitable for vegetarians and vegans and most are in powder form.
However, in the UK Hartley’s do sell ready made jelly pots that are suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Do be careful and check the ingredients when you’re buying jelly.
🥣 Wibble jelly
There are a few brands of vegan jelly powder.
Hartley’s used to do a raspberry jelly powder with glitter that was vegan, then there is a raspberry jelly powder from Just Whole Foods, but I like to use Wibble jelly.
And no I’m not working for them, just recommending a product I like.
Wibble do a rangle of different flavours of jelly in powder. You just add boiling water , whisk and leave them to set.
It’s suitable for vegans, it’s gluten-free, sweetened by fruit sugar and has nothing artifical added.
But, I like it because it sets well and tastes great.
I used Wibble raspberry jelly for these raspberry dessert pots.
💭 Tips for the best jelly pots
Here are my top tips for the best results when making creamy raspberry jelly mousse.
- Stick to the quanitities in the recipe
- If you’re using a different jelly powder that requires a different quantity of liquid, make sure the water and yoghurt weights combined are a little less than the water required for making the jelly
- Add boiling water to the jelly powder and whisk well until all the granules have dissolved.
- Leave to cool, but not completely, you don’t want it to set, before adding the yoghurt.
- Whisk the yoghurt well, it may look curdled at first, but keep whisking for a smooth finish.
- Leave to cool and set at room temperature, then cool in the fridge to set further.
- Serve cold from the fridge.

I like to serve my jelly dessert pots in wine glasses, but you can use any short glass really.

🍫 Toppings
I top my jelly mousse with fresh raspberries, but here are a few more ideas.
- Fresh berries – raspberries or blackberries
- Whipped cream – dairy-free whipped cream
- Sprinkles – sprinkles make everything better
- Coconut – dessicated coconut
- Grated chocolate – chocolate is always a winner
- Chocolate chips – if you can’t be bothered grating it
- White chocolate buttons – dairy-free of course
- Melted chocolate – dark or white chocolate
- Fruit sauce – fruit compote or a shop-bought fruity sauce
Serve the dessert pots with your choice of toppings or serve them plain, they are good either way.

Notes
- Prep time does not include cooling time.
- If the yoghurt looks like it’s curdling when you add it, don’t worry, keep whisking.
- Wibble jelly powder calls for 568ml (2.4 cups) liquid, but I use 500ml (2.1 cups) in total, if you use a different jelly powder, just use a little less liquid than it calls for on the pack, combining the weight of the water and yoghurt in place of the water.
